The Sydney Morning Herald has revealed that a former Cricket Tasmania employee requested Tim Paine’s apologies and legal fees back in 2018 in the latest development in the Tim Paine scandal.

Apparently, a Cricket Tasmania employee to whom Tim Paine sent an explicit image and filthy communications in 2017 demanded an apology from Cricket Australia before also demanding $40,000 to cover legal fees, according to the story. On many occasions, she asked Cricket Australia for an apology from Paine and money to cover her legal fees in the ongoing battle with Cricket Tasmania, according to the report.
The employee’s emails were forwarded to a small group of senior CA employees and were directed to Christine Harman at the time of the incident, according to the investigation. Although Paine had a contract with Cricket Australia a year prior to the exchange, Harman refused the staffer’s request in November 2018 since it was seen as a conflict between Harman and Cricket Tasmania.
According to the report, Sean Mulcahy, the person who acted as a go-between between a Cricket Australia employee and the media, revealed what happened during the incident. As a last resort, I suggested that she go to the media with this issue,” he stated.
