Jessica Alice Cave Lloyd is an English actress, popularly known for her role in ‘Harry Potter,’ has revealed that how her body changed after she took the break from acting. Notably, the actress shared the way people have developed their opinions and perspectives for her, soon after she gained weight.
Cave revealed her emotions and feelings, she had while filming for Harry Potter. She noted, “I gained a lot of weight after doing Harry Potter, just because I wasn’t starving myself. ”
The actress sat for an interview with ‘The Independent’ and said, “And I was growing up and that’s just what happens.”
In 2009, Jessie first appeared as Lavender Brown in “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince,” the sixth part of the franchise.
Later, she worked for the final movie, ‘Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1,’ in 2010 and later for part 2, in 2011.
Jessie, the ‘Black Mirror alum,’ states, “When I returned to the set to shoot the seventh and eighth films, I ‘was treated as a different species.'”
She added to her statement and clarified, “It was horrible. It was probably more me and my insecurity, knowing that I wasn’t fitting into the same size jeans, but it wasn’t a time where actresses were any bigger than a size 8 [size 6 in the United States].”
Also, Cave states, “In the previous film, I had been, and now I was a size 12 [size 10 in the U.S.]. So that was horrible. It was a really uncomfortable experience.”
Jessie also shared the detailed experience, the way this body weight gain image impacted her career too.
Cave states, “But you get a bit bigger, or you’re not as relevant, and it goes off, and you have to make your way in the dark. I definitely felt invisible when I gained a little bit of weight. And since then, it’s made me have weird issues with weight and work. And it’s so f–ked up, but it’s just how it is. Women have to deal with that all the time.”
