After Ranveer Singh now Sahil Luthra ₹10 crore ransom demand and the same old Bollywood pattern

NEW DELHI – The Managing Director of Vijayan Trishul Defence Solutions (VTDS), Sahil Luthra, has filed a fresh complaint with the Delhi Police citing persistent death threats from an international extortion syndicate. Despite existing security measures and ongoing investigations, Luthra reported receiving new threatening calls on February 26, 2026.

Background and New Developments

According to police complaints, Luthra was contacted by two international numbers—originating from Portugal and Germany—on February 26. The callers allegedly admitted responsibility for a previous shooting incident at Luthra’s Amritsar residence on the night of November 29, 2025.

The callers reportedly issued a direct warning, stating they would no longer conduct “warning shots” in the air or outside his property, but would instead target him directly. Furthermore, the individuals indicated they were aware of his current police protection, claiming it would not be sufficient to deter their efforts.

Escalation of Extortion Attempts

The series of threats began in August 2025, when a ransom demand of ₹10 crore was allegedly made against the entrepreneur. Following the shooting at his Amritsar home in late November 2025, two separate First Information Reports (FIRs) were registered:

  • FIR No. 120/2025 at Chanakyapuri Police Station, Delhi.
  • FIR No. 173/2025 at Ranjit Avenue Police Station, Amritsar.
