A few days back, Prince Harry and Meghan welcomed their little baby daughter. Thus, the entire Royal family is busy congratulating the Royal pair for the arrival of their newborn girl. However, Kate Middleton and Prince William wished the pair, eliminating the title of Sussex to them. The social media post of Prince and his wife about Meghan and Harry’s daughter is speculated to be part of a plan to change their image.
The way of Kate and William congratulated Meghan and Harry on their daughter’s birth was a bit informal. The Royal pair mentioned the pair by their first names and ignored to add their titles in an Instagram post. However, one of the Royal commentators mentioned that the palace press team is maybe trying to change their image.
In 2019, Meghan and Harry introduced their little son, Archie, to the world. That time too the couple received messages of congratulations from the royal family. Prince William and Kate Middleton too congratulated the couple at the birth of Archie. They wrote on Instagram, “The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are delighted with the news of the birth of The Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s son today, and look forward to meeting the latest addition to the family.”
Two years later, in 2021, Kate and William wished the pair the birth of their daughter, Lilibet Diana. Thus, in a less formal way, they mentioned, “We are all delighted by the happy news of the arrival of baby Lili. Congratulations to Harry, Meghan, and Archie.”
The major difference to be noticed is that their second post nowhere mentions the Royal pair with their titles of Duke and Duchess of Sussex. On the other hand, this time, Kate and William’s post directly addresses the Royal pair with their names.
A Royal commentator, Kinsey Schofield, opened up on this. He said that the post may be part of a wider plan to change their image. Kinsey said, “Things have been rocky for the entire family since the Oprah interview online, but Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall have been dodging negative feedback on social media since November thanks to ‘The Crown’ Netflix series.”
